Pre-accredited Courses

This course is designed to help everyone improve their English language skills through literacy and numeracy activities, including newly arrived migrants and refugees settling into Australia. The total number of hours that the course will run is 100 hours.

The program will lead to a greater understanding on English for people who currently have little or no English skills offering adults the English language skills they need to live and work in the community; get or keep a job (paid or voluntary); gain entry into further study or complete a qualification.

Improving your English language skills can also help you to communicate with others in your community and to build your language and life skills.

The program will cover a range of learning activities that will focus on assisting individuals with an intellectual disability via a range of practical and social skills. There will be an underlying theme of health and wellbeing, delivered via activities that focus on building literacy and numeracy skills in everyday life.

Developing essential skills like goal setting, planning, and time management, making informed decisions in scheduling, working effectively in a team, and using basic technology are crucial for success. Staying up to date with current trends, managing money, maintaining exercise and nutrition, solving problems, completing job tasks, and building confidence by speaking up all contribute to personal and professional growth.

Digital Essentials Level 2
This program is designed to extend learners’ understanding of technology, including the use of different digital devices, their functionality and the ways people can use these devices to connect with others and access services over the Internet.

Introduction to MS Word and Excel
The program targets adult learners who need to upskill or reskill their digital abilities. This may be either within their current work situation, or for the purposes of finding new employment.

Beginning AI
This program will teach people how to use basic AI. This will include ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Notebook LM, Veo3, Canva, AI for voice journaling, AI for job searching and job application, image generation, image to video and Grammarly.

This course is designed to address the issue that many students face; not having a clear career path or direction. The program will assist students to develop a personal profile to connect with themselves better and to identify the career path they are best suited for based on their interests and basic skills. This progam has been developed around the “Coaching Young People for Success” resource we have been using for some time now.

This course is designed to address the issue that many students face; not having a planned career pathway to further education or potential employment that aligns to their interests, skills and aptitudes. The My Career, My Choice program will assist students to identify their transferable skills and develop the necessary employability skills needed to seek opportunities in today’s every changing world of work environment.

This course is designed to identify and provide basic skills and knowledge of studying at Murray ACE. The course will also cover what is involved in the various industries that students have enrolled to study in. For example, the community services sector or the hair and beauty sector. There will be a focus on key employability skills such as communication, working with others and self-development. The program is aimed at entry level individuals to provide a first step into further training in community services or hair and beauty. The course is designed to introduce students to the process of studying. This will include safe and successful researching on the internet, paraphrasing, referencing as well as personal development that will help with the study process.
