HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults. The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This unit of competency may contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).

Duration: I day + pre-course work book

 

HLTAID003 Provide First Aid (Level II Senior First Aid)

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course is suitable for those students requiring workplace first aid skills.
 Duration: I day + pre-course work book

 

 

HLTAID001 Provide CPR

Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) can help save a life, often the life of a family member or someone you know. We recommend that every personal learn this life saving skill. This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to perform CPR in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
Duration: 3 hours + pre-course work book
