Community Services Courses

CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services

Do you like working with people? 
You will learn about the services provided to the community, particularly childcare, aged care and disability care, and you will learn how to work with staff and clients of all ages. You will learn through role plays, simulations, project work and work place visits. If you are patient, responsible and adaptable and also fun loving, tolerant and caring, this course is for you.

BSBWOR202 Organise and complete daily work activities

Elective Units:

Duration:  2 day per week over 20 weeks

 

 

CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)

This course is ideal for those who want to formalise their existing community work skills and those who wish to work in Aged Care facilities and care for the aged.
These workers carry out activities to maintain personal care and/or other activities of living for people in an aged care setting, carry out activities related to an individualised plan and report directly to a supervisor and are not responsible for other workers. A minimum 120 hours work placement is mandatory for successful completion of this qualification.

The course is made up of 7 core and 6 elective units.

CHCHCS001 Provide home and community support services

CHCPAL001 Deliver care services using a palliative approach


Duration: 2 days per week over 40 weeks


 

CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)

CHCCCS025 Support relationships with carers and families


Duration: 2 days per week over 40 weeks

 

CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability

This qualification addresses work in residential group homes, training resource centres, day respite centres and open employment services, other community settings and clients' homes. These workers may provide training and support to people with disabilities to enhance their ability to achieve greater levels of independence, self reliance and community participation. A minimum 120 hours work placement is mandatory for successful completion of this qualification.

This course is made up of 11 core and 3 elective units.

CHCCCS024 Support individuals with autism spectrum disorder

CHCLAH003 Participate in the planning, implementation and monitoring of individual leisure and health programs

 

Duration: 2 days per week over 40 weeks

 

CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.

Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the organisation and the quantity and quality of outputs of others within limited parameters. A minimum 120 hours work placement is mandatory for successful completion of this qualification.
This course is made up of 15 core and 3 elective units.
